Donna Roberts Hernandez has been a licensed attorney since 1985 after receiving a B.A. in political science from Texas Tech University and earning her J.D. from Southern Methodist University School of Law. She also holds an M.A. in Strategic Communication & Innovation from Texas Tech. Donna began her law practice at a Fort Worth regional firm then moved her practice to Dallas in 1989. In 1994, Donna founded the law firm of Morris & Morris, now known as The Morris Legal Group.

Her practice primarily focuses on advising businesses in the areas of entity formation, contracts, financial planning, human resources, noncompetition, and related common law and statutory causes of action. Representation includes civil litigation in state and federal court as well as arbitration matters.

She is the creator of Perfect Engagement Publishing, LLC, and recently co-authored the best-selling book Perfect Engagement: A practical guide to a more dynamic Rotary Club. Donna founded and published The Messenger, a weekly direct mail newspaper that quickly grew to a regional media outlet purchased by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram in 2005.

Donna has been a visiting lecturer and has written curriculum on issues affecting business needs such as human resources, financial planning, banking, insurance, and risk management for an entrepreneurial business academy and made numerous presentations about responsible legal representation to nonprofit groups and business organizations.

Donna currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Cross Timbers Rotary Club and Greater Lewisville Chamber of Commerce. She has also been active in many civic and charitable organizations, serving on the Board of Directors for Grace Like Rain, Christian Community Action, Cloud Nine Charities, Youth & Family Counseling Center, Journey to Dream, Greater Lewisville United Way, the Greater Lewisville YMCA, the Denton County Substance Abuse Commission, the Lewisville Education Foundation, the Lewisville Economic Development Foundation and the Lewisville Alliance and as a Denton County Commissioner’s Court appointee to the Denton County Development District 4 and the Confederate Memorial Advisory Committee.

Donna has chaired both the Lewisville and Flower Mound Chambers of Commerce Board of Directors, been named Flower Mound Citizen of the Year, and served as the President of the Flower Mound Rotary Club and the Cross Timbers Rotary Club.
